Visiting the winner’s circle for the Super Shootout category this weekend were, Tanner Theobald, St. In the division’s JBS Top Sportsman series it was Doug Crumlich, Irvine, Calif., taking the win while Mark Campbell, Olympia, Wash., won in the RAD Top Dragster series, and in the sportsman Motorcycle series it was Miles Hauer, Seattle. Other racers visiting the winner’s circle this weekend were Jeff Lane, North Bend, Wash., in Comp Eliminator Aaron Kinard, Temecula, Calif., in Super Comp Rob Willis, Tacoma Wash., in Super Gas Gary Ericksen, Vancouver, Wash., in Super Street and Chris Thode, Manteca, Calif., in Top Comp. George, Utah, took home the win against Yeshua Wilcox, Lake Tapps, Wash., in Super Pro and Dustin Ward, Renton Wash., won in his ’67 Dart against Chris Young ’71 Chevelle in Pro. In the Summit racing series this weekend Parker Theobald, St. Webber made his way through the field and took the win against Joe Sorensen, Woodburn, Ore., due to a double break out with Webber missing his dial in time by just 0.003 seconds. Lang posted a winning pass of 10.743 seconds at 117.45 mph in his ’81 Malibu in a tight race against Sean Cour, Brush Prairie, Wash. Local racers Jody Lang and Norm Webber both from Puyallup Wash., were victorious this weekend in Super Stock and Stock Eliminator classes. Westerfield drove to a 5.509 second, 268.28 mph lap for an impressive runner up finish. Marshall faced off against 2017 Lucas Oil Top Alcohol Funny Car Champion, Shane Westerfield, Anaheim, Calif., and posted a winning run of 5.488 seconds, 268.71 mph in his ’17 Camaro. Demke, worked his way through the field and ran 5.362 seconds at 274.72 mph in his final round victory over defending event champion Shawn Cowie, Surrey, B.C., who clocked in at 6.593 seconds, 147.37 mph. Number two and three in last year’s Top Alcohol Dragster standings went head to head in the final with Demke taking home the victory this year. – In the final results from Pacific Raceways and the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Chris Demke, Tujunga, Calif., and Chris Marshall, McMinnville, Ore., took home the wins in Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car respectively.
